How Ya Doin HON?

Whimsical:
Fanciful or expresses odd notions.
C
hance or impulse rather than by necessity or reason.

What a perfect description for Leslie's artwork, with an unbridled passion for the "whimsical" side of art, Leslie spends hours on each item. She is known in the Arts & Crafts community for her handmade Switchplates and her Charitachers of the 50's style ladies with BeeHive hairdos and catseye glasses. These ladies are known as Hons. Baltimore Hons were recently made famous in John Water's recent Broadway musical "Hairspray".

Leslie's artwork is featured in many "Unique Art" boutiques throughout Maryland and the surrounding states. Her products are varied, from Hon Mirrors (which are popular in Hair Styling Salons) and Nightlight's(made from high quality "fused glass") to her famous Switchplates. Her artwork is not limited to just Baltimore Hons, Leslie's artwork the whole range of tastes from insects to dinosaurs, from NASCAR to sports, and just about everything in between. Her artwork is truely "One-of-a-kind".

If you visit a craft show where Leslie is displaying her art, be sure to look for her, as she always dresses in one of her Baltimore Hon costumes, in fact, many people attend her shows just to see her latest costume (it's different at each show) and get their picture taken with a "Baltimore Hon".
